Lock Change & Replacement in Konyaaltı
A bolt that sticks, a key that only turns halfway, a lock damaged in a break-in attempt: when the lock body itself is worn, a new cylinder will not fix it. We replace the whole lock with one that fits your door, and show you the options first.

Signs the whole lock needs replacing
Not every stiff lock needs replacing. If only the key is hard to turn, cleaning or a new cylinder is often enough. A full lock change makes sense when:
- the bolt no longer slides fully into the frame, so you have to push or lift the door to lock it;
- the handle has gone loose or the latch no longer springs back;
- the lock case was bent or forced in a break-in attempt;
- years of salty sea air have worn the mechanism, not just the cylinder.
Not sure which it is? Describe the problem or send a short video on WhatsApp. If a new cylinder would do the job, we will tell you.
How a lock change works
First we look at the door: its thickness, the size of the lock case already fitted and the kind of door it is, whether a wooden flat door, a steel entrance door or a shop door. The new lock has to suit that door, so we show you the options that fit and tell you the price, parts included, before anything is removed.
Once you agree, we fit the new lock and test it with you: the bolt, the latch and every key, with the door both open and closed. All the new keys are handed to you. If the door itself has warped or the frame has dropped, we say so; a new lock cannot fix a door that does not close properly.

Lock change: questions
Lock change or cylinder replacement: what is the difference?
The cylinder is the part you put the key into; the lock is the whole mechanism inside the door, with the bolt and the latch. If the lock works well and you only want old keys to stop working, a cylinder replacement is enough. If the bolt sticks or the lock case is damaged, the whole lock should go.
Can I choose the new lock?
Yes. We show you the locks that fit your door and explain how they differ. The one you choose is part of the price you approve before we start.
I rent my flat. Should I change the lock?
Agree it with your landlord first, since the lock usually belongs to the flat. If all you want is to be sure nobody else has a key, a new cylinder is often enough, and the original can go back in when you move out.
Will a new lock fit my steel door?
Steel doors take their own lock cases, so the replacement has to match the one already in the door. We check the door first and offer only locks that fit it, rather than cutting the door to suit a lock.
